Nacatuli

½ kilo (500 grams) plain flour                                                 

4 eggs

60ml Sambuca

200g castor sugar

60g softened butter

icing sugar for dusting

 Method

1. Combine eggs and sugar, mix well.

2.   Add Sambuca and butter, mix well.

3.   Add flour and mix to make a stiff dough. The dough should be stiff but still soft enough to roll. If needed add extra flour.

4.   Roll walnut size pieces onto strips about ½ cm in diameter.

5.   Twist each strip into shape and set aside.

6.   Make all the strips and set aside.

7.   When finished, heat canola oil in a pan (just enough oil to cover biscuits).

8.   Fry biscuits until golden brown, drain on paper towel.

9.   While still warm, toss biscuits in a large bowl with icing sugar and set aside to cool.

10.  Enjoy!
