Chocolate, Pecan & Sultana Swirls

Dough

4 cups S.R. flour

50g butter melted

1 3/4 cups warm water

Milk for glazing

 

Filling 

50g Butter melted

4 tablespoons brown sugar

2/3 cup sultanas

2/3 cup chopped pecan nuts

100g chopped dark chocolate

Cinnamon sugar

 

Method

1.      Pre-heat oven to 200c.

2.      Put the flour into a large bowl; add the butter and water mix to form soft dough. (If too dry add a bit more water, if too sticky add a bit more flour).

3.      Roll out dough on a floured surface to form a large thin circle.

4.      Brush all over with melted butter.

5.      Sprinkle all over with brown sugar, sultanas, pecans and chocolate.

6.      Sprinkle well with cinnamon sugar.

7.      Roll up like a big sausage.

8.      Using a serrated knife, slice into 2cm slices.

9.      Arrange on tray lined with baking paper.

10.   Brush milk all over the sides and a bit on top of the slices.

11.   Bake for 30 minutes until golden.

12.   Cool slightly then dust with icing sugar and serve.
